This science and math video series combines a storyline with mini-documentary
expeditions to develop science and math skills. The episodes follow the adventures
of the crew of the Mimi, a converted French tuna trawler outfitted as a modern
ocean-going vessel. Mimi is chartered to two scientist who are studying humpback
whales. Throughout the voyage, crew members construct hypotheses, make
observations and measurements, and collect and analyze data. Each episode is about
15 minutes long. Individual titles include: All Aboard, Planet Ocean, Setting Sail,
Whalewatch, On the Shoals, Mapping the Blue Part, Counting Whales, Whale Bones,
Going Fishing, Scraping the Bottom, Home Movies, Songs in the Sea, Fastening On,

Goose Bumps, Making Dew, Water, Water Everywhere, Feast, New Alchemy,
Rolling Home, Boatshop, Separate Ways, Sailor and a Scientist.
